* Expressways have been reported in the statistical overviews of the Central Technical Register of Roads of the Slovak Republic as a separate group since 2009. Until year 2009 their length is reported within other road classes. Since 2020 expressways have been reported as motorways / R and "R" means construction-technical category.
** The differences in length of different road classes compared to the year 2013 were caused by implementation of the new rules of the road sections classification in intersections of roads, based on the Technical regulation TP 078 . Some road sections and short motorway feeders, which were included in the road length, were reclassified to slip roads.
